The Crosby family of boots features a high-tech Nano composite safety toe, high-rebound EVA midsole, Diamond Tred rubber outsole and waterproof upper, resulting in a lightweight, comfortable safety toe work boot.

The Crosby 83602 features these technologies:

UltraDry™ Waterproofing System

Our UltraDry™ construction combines a moisture management lining with waterproof components for dry, long-lasting comfort and performance.

This technology combines increased flexibility in the forefoot with a stable platform in the heel. Our superior dual-construction process incorporates a welted heel for extra stability, with cement construction in the forefoot for added flexibility and a comfortable fit.

CuShin™ Comfort tongue technology was designed to minimize pressure some hunters feel on their shin from the top of the boot tongue. A four-way stretch nylon offers relief and flexibility while walking, and an internal padded waffle mesh maintains premium comfort.

Heat-Resistant Outsole

Soles that have been designed and tested to perform on high heat surfaces. Soles identified as HRO are heat resistant to melting at a minimum of 475º Fahrenheit.

These non-metallic, puncture-resistant insoles are manufactured from high-strength, woven fibres. They meet or exceed all world standards for puncture resistance, including CSA, ASTM and EN.

Strategically placed high-rebound material brings high-end athletic shoe technology to more practical applications, delivering a recharging burst of energy with every step.

CSA (Canadian Safety)

This protective footwear meets the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approval for CAN/CSA-Z195-09.

Care Options

It's well known that proper care and routine maintenance will extend the life of our cars or homes. The same holds true for premium boots. Get the most out of your Irish Setter boots by following our recommended three step process of cleaning, conditioning and protecting them with products designed specifically for that purpose.

A well-prepped, clean surface enhances success when applying conditioners and protectants to your footwear. To clean any of our waterproof leather footwear, you can simply use water and a clean cloth. We recommend Essential Leather Cleaner for our non-waterproof leather boots.

NaturSeal™ is the best performer for conditioning waterproof leather boots. NaturSeal™ is a leading-edge conditioning formula which uses breakthrough technology to penetrate waterproof leather, enhancing breathability and pliability. If you prefer to use a wax instead of a liquid, we recommend our Original Mink Oil Paste. To condition oil tanned leather footwear, we recommend the Original Mink Oil Paste or All Natural Boot Oil.

Our Essential Leather Protector creates an invisible shield of protection for leather and fabric, and is recommended as the final step in our care process.

To ensure your rubber footwear stays in good condition wipe or spray with lukewarm water after use and allow to dry naturally. If soap is required for additional cleaning, we recommend using a non-scented soap. Store all footwear in a cool, dry, location avoiding direct contact with any heat source, extreme cold or sunlight.

By taking time for proper care of your footwear, you'll not only notice better performance in the field, but your Irish Setter boots will last longer too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far they are living up to the Redwing name. Most of the redwings I've owned have had the King Toe option. That's because I have duck feet. I was surprised by how well this boots fit. Working in the oilfield the footing conditions are always changing these boots give great traction. I have aways told coworkers spend the little extra and buy Redwings they will outlast all other brands. My last pair of boots I tried another brand the a coworker raved about and they started falling apart in less then 3 months. Never again, I will always by Redwing boots for work and play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent All Around Boot. This is my second pair. I wore the soles on the first pair. Wore them in every condition known. Ice, snow, rain, heat, on concrete, rocks, driving vehicles thousands of miles a year. These boots kept me warm, dry, and comfortable without costing a fortune.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from High quality, but OUCH. Ok, I'm a suppinator and I have suffered from Plantar fasciitis. When work told me the Red Wing truck was coming for our yearly boots instead of going to a store, I was pleased. I wrote to Red Wing with the boots I could choose from and asked which would be best for my feet. Crosby was what they told me, and Crosby is what I got. Sitting on the bench in the truck, they felt comfy, first day in them and they were anything but. Six weeks in and my feet are sore by mid morning still. I added a 3/4 orthotic insole after week 2 and things improved a little so I figured I'd try a set of full length custom orthotics. I ditched the insoles included with the boots, and I put in new custom orthotic insoles built specific for my feet. Still painful. And just to check that it is the boots and not the insoles, I put the new custom insoles in another boot and wore them for a day with much less foot pain. I put the insoles back in the Crosby and my feet feel terrible. I've tried to fight through the pain in hopes that they just needed to break in, but after this long, I don't think it is going to get better. Both pinky toes hurt, and both heels hurt. When I get home and get these off, my feet slowly begin to stop hurting. I have to wear the boots by contract; if I didn't I definitely wouldn't wear them anymore. For the record, I have yet to find a pair of boots that don't hurt my feet AND meet the requirements of my job (safety toe, non-slip, etc.). So far, these are by far the worst feeling. I have a standing desk with anti-fatigue mat which is where I spend most of my day, but I go out to construction sites for inspections, and hold a rod for survey work. Right now I'm resigned to wearing sneakers when in the building and putting the boots on when I leave the building. Not what I am supposed to do at all and hopefully I won't get written up for it someday. On the plus side, they perform well out on job sites, I've gotten them pretty muddy and it just washed off. Good traction. Great warmth in below freezing weather. I applied snow seal liberally when I got them and they are impervious to water and the leather is soft. Tough boot. With the high quality these boots are, I really wanted them to finally be my answer. Guess there is always next year to try yet another boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good! I have only been wearing these boots a week, but I am amazed they do not hurt my feet at all! I am hard to fit size 10 narrow and these fit me beautifully. No heel slippage and no "hot spots" on my toes after wearing 10 hours each day. The toe box and heel are narrower than other brands, and the boot overall is fairly lightweight especially for having a safety toe. The laces loosen unless they are double-tied. I read the reviews regarding wet surfaces, and experienced that myself in a fast food joint known for slippery floors - boots were wet from rain and I slipped minutely on the floor when I first walked in. Tried to make myself slip again, but it didn't happen. I have never had a pair of boots that didn't slip on snow or ice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most slippery boot ever. Not for winter Cold temperatures harden the soles so much that they become dangerously slippery even on dry surfaces. Ice and snow will stick to the soles too and they will stay slippery after going back indoors. Before winter these were my favorite boot. . .
