Elk Tracker

Elk live in America's toughest habitat and require maximum effort from those who hunt them. Our Elk Tracker series is built just for such a hunter, with a Bulls-Eye® Air Bob Aggressive sole for excellent traction and a lightweight, shock-absorbing comfort cork midsole. The waterproof, full-grain leather uppers offer support and durability.

The perfect boot for the first cold days in the elk mountains.

The Elk Tracker 880 features these technologies:

ScentBan™

An Irish Setter exclusive scent control process, ScentBan™ is added to various materials from leathers to linings to footbeds, killing bacteria that cause odors.

GORE-TEX®

The GORE-TEX® membrane blocks moisture from the outside, while allowing moisture inside to evaporate. GORE-TEX® has over 9 billion pores per square inch that prevent water from getting to your feet while allowing sweat vapor to pass right through, keeping your feet dry and comfortable in all conditions.

3M™ Thinsulate™

The ultimate insulation for cold weather boots, 3M™ Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation is thin, warm and lightweight, with the durability to withstand long hours of hard wear and keep feet warm even in damp conditions.

Care Options

It's well known that proper care and routine maintenance will extend the life of our cars or homes. The same holds true for premium boots. Get the most out of your Irish Setter boots by following our recommended three step process of cleaning, conditioning and protecting them with products designed specifically for that purpose.

A well-prepped, clean surface enhances success when applying conditioners and protectants to your footwear. To clean any of our waterproof leather footwear, you can simply use water and a clean cloth. We recommend Essential Leather Cleaner for our non-waterproof leather boots.

NaturSeal™ is the best performer for conditioning waterproof leather boots. NaturSeal™ is a leading-edge conditioning formula which uses breakthrough technology to penetrate waterproof leather, enhancing breathability and pliability. If you prefer to use a wax instead of a liquid, we recommend our Original Mink Oil Paste. To condition oil tanned leather footwear, we recommend the Original Mink Oil Paste or All Natural Boot Oil.

Our Essential Leather Protector creates an invisible shield of protection for leather and fabric, and is recommended as the final step in our care process.

To ensure your rubber footwear stays in good condition wipe or spray with lukewarm water after use and allow to dry naturally. If soap is required for additional cleaning, we recommend using a non-scented soap. Store all footwear in a cool, dry, location avoiding direct contact with any heat source, extreme cold or sunlight.

By taking time for proper care of your footwear, you'll not only notice better performance in the field, but your Irish Setter boots will last longer too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Design Flaw in 10inch boots I purchased Elk Tracker 861's. Unfortunately the first locking lace from the bottom (on all 10 inch models) lays directly over the seam at the ankle, forcing the seam to break inward toward your ankle causing a pressure point. There is no way to reverse this by breaking the boot in, as the pressure from the lace will always force the seam inward. Other reviews have encountered the same issue. I was disappointed to have to return these boots as the quality and finish were top notch, but I plan to wear them 40+ hours a week so comfort is a must.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have these for 6 years now I have these same one for 6 years now still holding strong. And it's the first hunting boots I own. I also work outdoors so let me tell you with the right gear and being comfortable in the worst of weather Mother nature throw at you make the hunt or working that much easier and enjoyable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as anything out there. I picked these boots up yesterday afternoon and headed out for a hike this morning. The trail follows a creek then heads uphill, very steep in places, then joins the creek at a very large meadow with a few beaver dams scattered here and there. Hiking up this trail in brand new boots was risky, at least for me, but I was amazed at how they performed. Even though the ground was wet in places and steep, I never lacked for traction. In fact the grip was outstanding, truly amazing. My feet are a little sore right now after 10 miles but I made it fine and couldn't be happier. I called the factory and got some tips on fitting, then went to the redwing store to buy them. I wanted to see them and try them all on so that I had a good selection to choose from. They told me we need a distance about the width of our thumbs between the end of the boot and our toes. That seemed to work for me - I never jammed my toes in the end of the boots no matter how steep it got. And they never slipped - ever! If had one complaint I think they could use a little more ankle support and that would make them perfect. I wish they weren't made in China but I don't know what to do about that. They have to keep the doors open and, I suppose, that's what it takes. But they seem to be good quality with a sole that can be replaced so they should last a long time. They're worth a look.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Think this is my last pair sole fell apart I have owned about 10 pair of these boots and seems like quality has been dropping this current pair looks like a hot knife cut lugs off sole to the point were your foot sits crocked a know a few others that buy these and they have been having similar issues with sole quality
