Work days can be brutal, and sometimes the cold won’t quit. The Stillwater collection protects feet from the elements. Add an outsole built for maximum traction, and you’ve got a winner.

The Stillwater 83820 features these technologies:

UltraDry™ Waterproofing System

Our UltraDry™ construction combines a moisture management lining with waterproof components for dry, long-lasting comfort and performance.

This technology is a protective covering that is incredibly tough and abrasion resistant. Placement of ArmaTec™ in high wear areas helps preserve and lengthen the life of a boot.

Trout Brook Leather

Handcrafted by our S.B. Foot Tanning Company, this leather is crafted exclusively for our Irish Setter brand and is named after the trout brook which flows just outside the back door of the tannery in Red Wing, Minnesota. Using only U.S. raised steer hides, the master tanners at S.B. Foot use time- proven methods to create the most durable leather, leather that will meet the demands of the toughest trail or job site.

3M™ Thinsulate™

The ultimate insulation for cold weather boots, 3M™ Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation is thin, warm and lightweight, with the durability to withstand long hours of hard wear and keep feet warm even in damp conditions.

Exceptional design intersects with innovative rubber compounds to create versatile, performance outsoles. Vibram® outsoles offer excellent traction and high abrasion resistance in a multitude of environments.

Heat-Resistant Outsole

Soles that have been designed and tested to perform on high heat surfaces. Soles identified as HRO are heat resistant to melting at a minimum of 475º Fahrenheit.

These non-metallic, puncture-resistant insoles are manufactured from high-strength, woven fibres. They meet or exceed all world standards for puncture resistance, including CSA, ASTM and EN.

Care Options

It's well known that proper care and routine maintenance will extend the life of our cars or homes. The same holds true for premium boots. Get the most out of your Irish Setter boots by following our recommended three step process of cleaning, conditioning and protecting them with products designed specifically for that purpose.

A well-prepped, clean surface enhances success when applying conditioners and protectants to your footwear. To clean any of our waterproof leather footwear, you can simply use water and a clean cloth. We recommend Essential Leather Cleaner for our non-waterproof leather boots.

NaturSeal™ is the best performer for conditioning waterproof leather boots. NaturSeal™ is a leading-edge conditioning formula which uses breakthrough technology to penetrate waterproof leather, enhancing breathability and pliability. If you prefer to use a wax instead of a liquid, we recommend our Original Mink Oil Paste. To condition oil tanned leather footwear, we recommend the Original Mink Oil Paste or All Natural Boot Oil.

Our Essential Leather Protector creates an invisible shield of protection for leather and fabric, and is recommended as the final step in our care process.

To ensure your rubber footwear stays in good condition wipe or spray with lukewarm water after use and allow to dry naturally. If soap is required for additional cleaning, we recommend using a non-scented soap. Store all footwear in a cool, dry, location avoiding direct contact with any heat source, extreme cold or sunlight.

By taking time for proper care of your footwear, you'll not only notice better performance in the field, but your Irish Setter boots will last longer too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boots are made in China! I bought this pair of boots to work in. They rub the inside of my shins raw, not sure what the problem is, I have tried thicker socks to no avail. I would not buy a pair of these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing on the market lasts like this boot I work in the oil and gas pipeline industry. Tall boots that are waterproof are a must. They excel at the task. I have gotten lots of boots before trying them out. I have yet to find a boot that lasts as long. Walking over 25k steps a day 14hour days 7 days a week. Im currently on set number 5 and will buy a new pair soon. They last 7 month to a year. When the tread starts to get low the boot is starting to fall apart. The wet mud to drying overnight every day really puts any footwear to the test. The non metallic helps in the winter. The boot laces fail before the boot does. Every chance i get i recommend them to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would never buy a different boot Have had these for a year now and don't know how I went without owning these. After multiple other brands haven't held up or been comfortable as these, do yourself a favor spend the money and try them as you won't be disappointed! After a year of use (work- oil&gas industry, home in the garage, and in the field hunting) they just now have started to seep a little moisture mostly from ripping the stitches on the rubber outsole. But that's nothing a little silicone didn't fix. The tread has held up extremely well even after hours in gravel and on concrete and steel surfaces I bet it hasn't worn 1/2 the tread off. The boots are a little on the heavy side and take some time to break in, but after they break in they are the most comfortable boots I have worn. They have held up great and kept my feet warm even during the below 0 weather we get where I live. Will be ordering another pair soon to get broken in before the snow piles up again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only One Exception... Working in the oil/gas tanker business puts shoes to the true test. Other higher-end brands haven't held up more than 3 months. While I made the switch to Red Wing, their hikers have lasted somewhere around 6 months. Not due to any defect or flawed manufacturing, material, design...Ethanol, gasoline, and diesel have the innate ability to dissolve shoes, I've found out. Kicking metal fittings, walking through spilled products really just destroy any shoes...from damaging the leather, to just flat out dissolving the outsoles. Texas heat doesn't do it any favors, either. So, I bought this pair, as it seemed to fit the bill just a little better. So, trying these out, the soles, after 5 months, are still about 2/3 depth. The protective covering on it works extremely well, as it's held up without blemish to kicking metal fittings, concrete, etc. The only thing that has happened is after 5 months, the waterproof-ness of it has now failed, which is necessary, as I frequently walk through large puddles during and after rain...But, everything else on this boot is exceptionally great...When (not if) you buy these, wear them for about 2 weeks, as it took about 2 weeks to break in around the ankles and higher. After that, they're the most comfortable boot you'll ever wear. The insulation that's in it doesn't bother me too bad in the dead heat of Texas, so you should enjoy them wherever you are.
