Shadow Trek

When you need a lightweight, high-performance boot that can handle any weather and terrain, Shadow Trek is your choice. Our abrasion-resistant nylon upper and ArmaTec™ toe protect against wear, plus ScentBan™ technology helps to eliminate your odor "footprint." Our Shadow Trek sole quickly gains traction on many types of terrain.

The Shadow Trek 3859 features these technologies:

ScentBan™

An Irish Setter exclusive scent control process, ScentBan™ is added to various materials from leathers to linings to footbeds, killing bacteria that cause odors.

ArmaTec™

This technology is a protective covering that is incredibly tough and abrasion resistant. Placement of ArmaTec™ in high wear areas helps preserve and lengthen the life of a boot.

GORE-TEX®

The GORE-TEX® membrane blocks moisture from the outside, while allowing moisture inside to evaporate. GORE-TEX® has over 9 billion pores per square inch that prevent water from getting to your feet while allowing sweat vapor to pass right through, keeping your feet dry and comfortable in all conditions.

3M™ Thinsulate™

The ultimate insulation for cold weather boots, 3M™ Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation is thin, warm and lightweight, with the durability to withstand long hours of hard wear and keep feet warm even in damp conditions.

Mossy Oak®

Mossy Oak® Break-Up Country® uses dramatically larger limbs, leaves, bark, branches and other digitally enhanced elements to fuse hunters with their terrain. Mossy Oak® Break-Up® camouflage features unprecedented depth, unequalled detail and elements with remarkable contrast, offering hunters another dimension in camo. Mossy Oak® Break-Up Infinity® is a versatile pattern used effectively in various hunting situations from flooded timber to deep woods. Includes elements like bark, branches and leaves to mimic actual colors found in nature.

Care Options

It's well known that proper care and routine maintenance will extend the life of our cars or homes. The same holds true for premium boots. Get the most out of your Irish Setter boots by following our recommended three step process of cleaning, conditioning and protecting them with products designed specifically for that purpose.

A well-prepped, clean surface enhances success when applying conditioners and protectants to your footwear. To clean any of our waterproof leather footwear, you can simply use water and a clean cloth. We recommend Essential Leather Cleaner for our non-waterproof leather boots.

NaturSeal™ is the best performer for conditioning waterproof leather boots. NaturSeal™ is a leading-edge conditioning formula which uses breakthrough technology to penetrate waterproof leather, enhancing breathability and pliability. If you prefer to use a wax instead of a liquid, we recommend our Original Mink Oil Paste. To condition oil tanned leather footwear, we recommend the Original Mink Oil Paste or All Natural Boot Oil.

Our Essential Leather Protector creates an invisible shield of protection for leather and fabric, and is recommended as the final step in our care process.

To ensure your rubber footwear stays in good condition wipe or spray with lukewarm water after use and allow to dry naturally. If soap is required for additional cleaning, we recommend using a non-scented soap. Store all footwear in a cool, dry, location avoiding direct contact with any heat source, extreme cold or sunlight.

By taking time for proper care of your footwear, you'll not only notice better performance in the field, but your Irish Setter boots will last longer too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME! i've had these boots for several years now. wore them, not only during hunting season, but also at work a few times when it got below freezing outside. they do fantastic! i've worn these hiking in January in the Smokies, and several seasons of Tennessee deer hunting, warehouse work, and 2 seasons of Christmas tree cutting. time to replace, though, as these boots have withstood a lot. Thanks Irish Setter! Going to order a new pair of Shadow Trek!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME These have to be the greatest boots ever made. Warm, dry and extremely comfortable. I shovel snow in a subzero climate and lots of walking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Something is not right I purchased these boots as my first pair of Irish Setter boots. The first pair were too narrow and squeezed my outside toe as well as the inside ankle. I called Cabelas and they offered to take them back and send me a new pair that are the EE width for $50 since I wore them once. It helped some but my outer toe still rubs as well as the inside of my ankle on both boots. If the fit still did not cause the sore spots on my foot everything else is great. It's almost like the inside of the boots force my feet to sit in the boot crooked. They are warm and definitely waterproof so I'd like this to work out. Is there anything you can tell me why or anything you can do? I wear a 10.5 and standard width on all previous hunting boots and running shoes. These boots make me feel like something is wrong with the inside of the boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Uncomfortable Recently bought these boots because of them being lightweight and me being on my feet a lot deer hunting with hounds and most of all have had really good luck with Irish Setter work boots. I wore them several times to break in but still very uncomfortable and stiff boot. So stiff that I wore them opening day and have a blister on my shin the size of a baseball due to the tounge and lace area rubbing. Very disappointed in these boots and won't ever wear them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for my use 2+ years and still going strong. These are a great lightweight boot that allows for long walks into the whitetail woods. The reduced weight, compared to another boot I own, makes a differnce over the course of several days of hunting and many miles of walking. The sole is flexible allowing for a quite step compared to my other boots. With an average thickness merino wool sock I'm comfortable in the 40's. Switching to a thick merino sock I can treestand/still hunt into the 30's. I have walked through briars, water an mud with no damage/leaking. These boots have also been a great option while snowshoeing.
